WELCOME TO MY BLOG.

My name is Noorol Karim. I live in Edgware — a North West district of London, United Kingdom. I am a retired British citizen of Bangladeshi origin — arrived in Britain in 1962 to study electronic engineering — got a job — continued working and decided to settle down here in the UK.

Fast forward the clock, in 1989 I moved out of UK to the warmer climate of southern Spain on medical advice.

From 1989 — 1996, I owned and worked in an Indian Restaurant in the popular holiday resort town called Torremolinos near Malaga Airport. Most of our customers were holiday makers. That gave me an opportunity to meet holiday makers from many nations, talked to them, listen them, especially jokes on party bookings etc. 

I plan to share some of the  jokes with you — only clean ones.  And I’m also keen to hear some from you. Please tell me some.   

On two occassions, we were booked for whole day by US Navy for shore based party for the sailors. These parties were huge and were pre-planned in minute details by the Navy. They enjoyed the party and we made a lot of money. Best of all, it gave me and my staff an opportunity to meet and talk to so many American service personnel from Aircraft Carrier heading Middle East.

I’ve many fond memories of my time in Torremolinos and my Amigos en Espania. And I gained an insight into the holiday industry as a whole.

BTW. English is my second languge. That’s my one excuse ….
